FICCI – Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry

  • India

Established in 1927, FICCI is the largest and oldest apex business organisation in India. Its history is closely interwoven with India’s struggle for independence, its industrialization, and its emergence as one of the most rapidly growing global economies. FICCI has contributed to this historical process by encouraging debate, articulating the private sector’s views and influencing policy.

A non-government, not-for-profit organisation, FICCI is the voice of India’s business and industry.
FICCI have been playing an active role in the promotion of skills development and careers in sports and in recent years have published papers on “sport as a full time career” and “importance of sports in education”.

EOSE has a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with FICCI and SkillsActive (UK) to develop a Sector Skills Council for the sport sector in India.
