EOSE is delighted to be a partner in the newly launched EmpowHER Volleyball Game Changer (EVGC) project, an Erasmus+ initiative led by the Confédération Européenne de Volleyball (CEV). The project, officially kicked off in Luxembourg on 13-14 February 2025, and aims to foster gender equality in leadership and decision-making roles within volleyball and the wider sports sector. EOSE was represented by its Executive Director, Aurélien Favre.
This marks the third collaboration between EOSE and CEV, reinforcing a strong and trusted partnership in driving positive change in European sport. EOSE is proud to bring its expertise in skills development, education, and workforce strategies to this important initiative, which extends beyond volleyball to address gender equality challenges faced across the entire sport sector.
The EVGC project, co-funded by the European Union, involves key partners including the EOC EU Office and national volleyball federations from Albania, Georgia, Germany, Luxembourg, Malta, and Sweden. Together, we will:
- Identify barriers preventing women from taking on leadership and decision-making roles in volleyball
- Develop policies to support inclusive governance structures
- Provide targeted training and mentorship opportunities
EOSE looks forward to contributing to this groundbreaking initiative and supporting long-term cultural shifts towards greater diversity and inclusivity in sport leadership.
We encourage all stakeholders to follow the project’s progress and learn more on the official project webpage.
