This briefing note will provide the sector with generic information about the European Qualifications Framework, including a state of play and examples from national implementation.

The 2014 Eurobarometer survey linked to the proposal for a European Area of Skills and Qualifications and the Cedefop study on “The common EU tools and the labour market” which looked at the relevance of EU tools for the labour market, showed that there is low awareness regarding these tools among potential end users.
EOSE’s end goal in developping a series of briefing notes was to increase the awareness of EU tools in the sector and to highlight the key role of stakeholder commitment and coordination for the tools to reach their potential.
