This activity was part of the EOSE 2015 Work Plan’s set of actions towards recognition of non-formal and informal learning and will serve as a basis for the priority area in the EOSE Work Plan Year 3 that is: “An exploration of non-formal and informal learning in the sector to improve the recognition of skills gained in sport through participation and volunteering”.

Buidling upon the Desk Research carried out on the topic, this “info note” was developed with the objective to provide information about the topic, alert the sector, share good practice and open the debate for further actions in the sport sector.

Infonote n°7: EUROPEAN QUALITY ASSURANCE FRAMEWORK FOR VET

This briefing note will provide the sector with generic information about the European Quality Assurance Framework for VET (EQAVET), including a state of play and examples from national implementation.

The 2014 Eurobarometer survey linked to the proposal for a European Area of Skills and Qualifications and the Cedefop study on “The common EU tools and the labour market” which looked at the relevance of EU tools for the labour market, showed that there is low awareness regarding these tools among potential end users.
EOSE’s end goal in developping a series of briefing notes was to increase the awareness of EU tools in the sector and to highlight the key role of stakeholder commitment and coordination for the tools to reach their potential.
