Occupational standards for sport for development in Europe

Occupational standards for sport for development in Europe

Coinciding with the International Day of Sport Development and Peace (IDSDP) on April 6th 2021, the partners of the CHANGE project have launched an industry-wide consultation on the occupational standards (competency framework) that they have been working on and developing over the previous year of the project.

The new standards for sport for development practitioners will help to define the area and support the development of new education and training that matches the needs of practitioners in this ever-changing and evolving part of the sport and physical activity sector.

Occupational standards can be used by employers to support workforce development, and can be used by education and training providers to develop new courses and qualifications to upskill and develop both new and experienced practitioners.

Your views are vital to make the standards as good and relevant as possible.
