EOSE supports the Skill(s) for Youth through Sport (SK4YS)

SK4YS is a transnational initiative of European sport, youth organisations and educational institutions raising awareness on soft skills and competences gained through sport practice and building capacity of these organisations to implement sport based employment programmes.

The SK4YS Handbook aims to raise awareness on the transferable skills that sport-based educational activities can develop for young people – especially those not in employment, education or training.

On the 8th of October 2020, an online dissemination seminar was organised by project coordinator ENGSO Youth and the partners to introduce the key outcomes of the project and present the Handbook. In the first part of the event, the members of the consortium (ENGSO Youth, EUSA, EOSE, Cyprus Youth Council, Oltalom Sport Association and Budapest Association for International Sports) presented the different parts of the Handbook. The second part of the event featured some of the European good practice organisations.

Ben Gittus, EOSE Director of Standards, presented on sport’s contribution to skills development and employability
