VSPORT+ Final Conference in 1 month!

VSPORT+ Final Conference in 1 month!

Countdown set!

On 24th and 25th of February 2014, key stakeholders from the sport and active leisure will gather in the prestigious Wembley Stadium in London (UK) for the VSPORT+  project final conference.

The European Observatoire of Sport and Employment (EOSE), with the support of its network of National Ambassadors throughout Europe and two third country partners from Australia and New-Zealand, is delighted to introduce you the concept and programme of this event.

How could we work together towards greater contribution of sport and active leisure to the economic, health and social development?
How do we develop people with the right skills to ensure the sector continues to grow?
What can we learn from our international partners?
How important are transferable skills and mobility for learners and employment?
How can education and training providers work more closely with employers?

International Conference VSPORT+ Wembley

These are some of the questions that will be at the heart of the International Conference “Developing skills and mobility pathways: a key for sport to contribute to Europe’s growth and development”  which will celebrate the main achievements of the VSPORT+ project and gathers prestigious speakers and stakeholders.

Offering a mix of plenary presentations as well as interactive round tables discussions and bringing various stakeholders from the sector, the conference will aim at facilitating the debate, raising awareness and exploring pragmatic and adapted way forward for tackling the recognised challenges of the Sport sector in the field of education, training and employment.

Participations from key stakeholders from the sector (e.g. European Sport Federations, European Sport Networks, Policy Makers, Education Providers and Universities) is foreseen and we are delighted to already announce that the initiative received the support from Claudia Bokel (chair of the IOC Athletes Commission), Joachim James Calleja (Director of CEDEFOP), Helmut Höritsch (Education and Development Senior Manager of the European Handball Federation) and Antonios Kosmopoulos (Head of the Sport Unit within the EACEA).
