EOSE staff development

 

The EOSE Board is delighted to announce the appointment of a new staff member and a new position appointed:
Mr Matthias Guett is now in position of Research Manager for EOSE. Matthias graduated in Sport Economy and Management from the German Sport University Cologne with spending research semesters at the Manchester Metropolitan University and the University of Barcelona. Moreover, he is holding Additional University Qualifications in European Sports Studies and Olympic Studies. Before starting his work as Research Manager for EOSE, he worked as sport sociologist with a main research interest in sport policy at the Institute of European Sport Development at the German Sport University. He was involved in several EU funded sport projects and was managing the European Network  of Sport Science, Education and Employment (ENSSEE).

We are also pleased to announce that following recent interviews Mr Aurélien Favre has been appointed unanimously by the Executive Board to the post of Executive Director of EOSE. He has worked for EOSE as European Project Manager for the last five years and played major role in the professional development of the European Observatoire.

In making those appointments, the European Observatoire of Sport and Employment is not only filling the staff vacancy precipitated by the retirement of Mr Allan Pilkington, it is also moving forward in the development, implementation and sustainability of its strategic plan.
